Hi babes! Today I'm reviewing one of the most influential, hyped makeup products of the last few years: the Anastasia Beverly Hills pro series contour kit. ABH was one of the first brands that created high quality contouring products geared at "casual" makeup lovers rather than makeup artists, and this pro series contour kit is incredibly popular. When contouring was at its peak a few years ago, this palette was constantly sold out, and for good reason: the colours are versatile, the powders are neutral in undertone, and the blendability and pigmentation is amazing.
If you're pale like me you can use a light hand and blend them out, or you can use the product more heavily if you have medium skintone. In sum: instead of having one or two shades that suit your complexion, like with most contouring kits geared at professionals, you will be able to use all of these powders if you have light-medium skintone. This makes it worth its €54.90 pricetag (available at Planet Parfum in Belgium).
Let me demonstrate the awesomeness of this contour kit.
Another day, another highlighting product review. I hope you're still as into the trend as I am! As much as I love a matte look from time to time, this end of winter/early spring weather makes me want to turn around my beauty routine, go back to something dewy, glowy, fresh and easy. Highlighting is the BEST way to brighten up dull or sallow winter complexion with minimal effort, and allowing your skin to breathe.
I spotted this limited edition Strobing Palette at H&M's beauty counter, and its six cream highlighters made it impossible for me not to swatch away. After swatching I fell in love (ugh I never learn), and although I walked away that first time (the last thing I need is more highlighters), I returned a week later because I couldn't put this palette out of my head. Since it's just €15, I allowed myself to go for it. And now I can review it for you guys, so enjoy!
Hi guys! If you're on Facebook, you have undoubtedly spotted those Zaful FB ads. Gorgeous babes in super cute swimsuits, what's not to like? Well, for one, Zaful has been getting some mixed reviews. I've heard of long shipping times and low quality, but also very positive impressions of customers. I have quite some experience with Asian webshops (as a blogger, it sort of comes with the territory), so when Zaful contacted me for a collaboration, I figured I could do an honest, thorough review of my experience with Zaful to help you guys decide whether to take the gamble!

The past week has been nothing short of amazing, weather-wise. Nothing refuels my batteries like some time in the sun, and these first spring days were just what I needed. I'm still stressed out with a million things on my to-do list in this last stretch of finishing my PhD, but I have a bit less anxiety when the sun is out ;-) And look at those first spring blossoms! I love seeing the seasons change in my outfit pictures - just a couple of weeks before the magnolias in full bloom again, and I always look forward to that so much.
Friday night, my sister and I took the train to Brussels to go to the Beauty and the Beast avant première and had an absolutely lovely time. Great movie, gorgeous venue, good company - unforgettable experience. I can't recommend the movie enough btw, if you love that Disney magic ;-)
I hope you're having a lovely weekend! Btw, I might blog a bit more inconsistently over the next couple of weeks, since I'm so busy at work right now, but I'll still do my best to drop by regularly.
With the sunny weather of last week and the work-related stress I've been experiencing lately, I'm in the mood for some shopping. To celebrate spring 2017, and to reward myself for all the work I've been putting in. You can all relate, right?? But I'm also saving up for some exciting travel destinations this year, so I don't want to spend too much money. Shein to the rescue! Their collections and quality have been getting better and better, and I always love windowshopping here because they're so on trend. Here are nine of my current favs.
1: mustard baroque blouse - $17
2: red lace overlay promdress - $50
3: floral embroidery mesh top - $36

6: floral embroidery ruffle blouse - $23

As you can see, I'm still really into romantic, floral/boho vibes. WHAT ELSE IS NEW. Hey, I like what I like. You feeling it?
It's Friday and I'm feeling alive, people. Well, I'm actually feeling braindead after writing parts of my PhD's conclusion (I hate writing conclusions), so please excuse me if this post is filled with spelling mistakes. I'll do my best to keep it 100. Let's talk about Dior's new Addict Lacquer sticks!
Glossy, saturated lipcolours has been THE trend for the past few months (see MAC liptensity, for example), and Dior is presenting its own take on the look for spring 2017. I received two shades, 877 Turn Me and 924 Sauvage. As always, Dior's products look gorgeous, exuding luxury. But do they stand out in other ways? Let's find out!
OK guys so today's post is about a stupid easy beauty hack that you might totally roll your eyes at, and I won't be mad at you if you do. BUT I've just discovered this thing and it's easy and makes a small but totally awesome change to your look, so I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
Without further ado: meet the Q-tip lip liner smudge hack that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. OK not really but you might like it.
I didn't write much about last summer's trip to the French Riviera since I was more preoccupied with enjoying myself instead of keeping up my blogging duties. However, I like reading my old blogposts and revisiting pleasant memories, so let me take you through our day trip to Menton!
